It's still Thanksgiving weekend...

Just a quick post to wish you a belated Happy Thanksgiving! :) I hope you all had a wonderful and blessed day celebrating with friends and family. I am so thankful that both my kids were able to come home for the holiday weekend. It went by quickly, but we had lots of fun and enjoyed spending time together.

It's a tradition to make these yummy turkey cookies....we've done them for over 10 years now.

The kids have tons of fun making them and they have hardly any sugar at all! :P

I've been getting a little sewing in here and there, not as much as I'd like! I really wanted to try the little tote from this blog. Isn't it just the cutest! Don't you just love Peanut the elephant too??

Last year I gave my mom this quilt for her birthday, so this year for her birthday, I made some matching pillows to go with it.

I have a few other things in the works, but they are secrets because it's almost Christmas time!! I love Christmas and can't wait for the fun and festivities!

I missed October completely!

Wow...I didn't post even once in October. Where did the month go?

I guess I'll try to sum it all up in a few pictures.

First off....it was my birthday on the 14th! I received a couple of wonderful gift packages from my friends Peggy and Robin.

Robin send me a fun woolfelt candle mat kit and two table top organizers. She also sent a couple fun halloween goodies.

Peggy sent me a patriotic wallhanging kit, Star Spangled quilt book, fabric, thread, a spidey mug, candy, and more!! :)

Also, just look at this beautiful embroidered pillow she made for me! I just absolutely love it! You have to click on the picture to see how beautiful it is!


I demo'd the fabric baskets at my local quilt group. So now I have a few baskets made for gifts this Christmas.

Finally, I made this quilt and gave it to my sister for her birthday. I think she was really happy with it!

My sister and her family came for a visit over halloween weekend. It was lots of fun to visit with everyone, carve pumpkins together and take her kids trick-or-treating!
