Quilt Room in a Box--Take 2

Just checking in for a minute to give an update. We've been going 100 miles an hour for the last month, but things are settling down just a bit for the weekend. The packers were here today, so we are kind of at a stand still until they come back on Monday to finish up.

I thought I'd share a few pics from the last couple of weeks. First off...the cruise!! Wow...what an amazing vacation! If you ever get a chance to take a cruise, go for it! It was a fabulous time...the food, the shows, the ship activities, the food, the ports of call, the excursions, the food...everything was wonderful. Did I mention the food? LOL

While in Sitka, we went on a hike...at one point we look out on the sound and saw our ship out in the bay. This particular stop did not have a pier, so we had to take the "tenders" from the ship to the shore.

It was a bit rainy in Juneau!

This pic was taken on our balcony while still docked in Seattle.

My hubby had his "Change of Command" ceremony on Thursday...he's officially off duty until we get to our next duty station.

Today the packers arrived and started the enormous task of packing up our house. The next couple of pictures show what my sewing room looks like now. :( If you remember this post, you'll know this isn't the first time I've had a Quilt Room in a Box.

Oops...they forgot a closet! No, he didn't start this room until later in the day, they'll be back on Monday to finish. :)
Actually, I worked on a little project in between all our adventures this month. I made this Miranda Day Bag for a friend. I love the pattern/bag...it's actually a bit bigger than I thought it would be.
Even though things are going smoothly with the move and all that goes with it, I still wish I was back here....looking at the beautiful views from our balcony on the cruise ship.
Until next time....Happy Quilting!
